Does your equipment require a field evaluation?
eti Conformity Services' safety evaluations, also called third party inspections or field evaluations, are often requested when a local electrical inspector cannot determine the acceptability of an installation because the equipment is not listed, labeled or “approved.”
This occurs when:
- New equipment is unevaluated or does not have laboratory marking
- Existing equipment has been modified in some way
- Existing equipment is being relocated
Time is critical in these cases because inspectors usually require testing and safety evaluations prior to startup or release to operational mode.
